Lashes and brows: extensions, lamination and shaping — how to book
Choose the procedure and the effect you want
Lash extensions can be classic (one lash on one), 2D, 3D or more volumes, and the effect can be cat-eye, doll or natural. Lash and brow lamination does not add more hairs but curls and sets the existing ones, while tinting with henna or dye adds colour. Brows are also shaped: with wax, tweezers or thread. Show the artist a photo of the result you want: everyone understands “natural effect” in their own way.
Materials and sensitivity
For extensions, the glue and the lash material matter. If your eyes are sensitive or have been irritated before, mention hypoallergenic glue in your request. Discuss allergic reactions, contact lenses and long-term eye problems with the artist before the procedure, and with a doctor if needed. Also ask which material brands the artist uses and whether they can show how instruments are sterilised.
Extensions or lamination
Extensions give a dramatic effect but need a refill every few weeks, and you pay for that separately. Lamination is gentler and easier for daily care, but the effect is more natural. If you have already had extensions, ask whether the artist will remove someone else’s work, because that is a separate service.
After extensions, do not wet your lashes for a few hours, do not rub your eyes and do not use oil-based makeup or mascara: they shorten the wear. After brow lamination, too, you are usually advised to avoid water on the first day, but the artist will tell you the exact rules.
How to compare offers
- the price of the first set, a refill and removal — usually three different figures;
- whether materials are included and what type they are;
- how long the procedure takes: classic and volume techniques take different amounts of time;
- a portfolio and reviews for exactly your type of work;
- a home visit or a salon.
On BlaBlaPrice you do not call studios: you describe your request once, and lash artists and brow specialists in your area reply in chat with a price and free dates. They see where they stand among the others, so they compete on terms, and you see the reviews. Your contacts stay hidden until you choose. More on the “How it works” page.
