Ready design or your own artwork
Motorcycle stickers come in two kinds: ready kits for a specific model and ones made to your artwork. A ready graphics kit is sold for a model and year, because the shape of the plastic on the tank and fairings differs. Your own design makes the bike unique, but it needs an artwork file and exact templates of the panels, so the price and the time depend on how complex it is.
There are also reflective strips (useful for safety at night), logos, and stickers for the tank and the helmet.
The material decides how long it lasts
- Ordinary vinyl suits the city and moderate sun.
- Laminated vinyl is more resistant to scratches, petrol and washing.
- Thick film for off-road riding withstands dirt, rubbing by knees and pressure washing.
- Reflective film is needed when visibility matters.
Ask whether it has UV protection and whether the glue leaves marks when the sticker is removed.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — a full graphics kit, tank stickers, logos, reflective strips.
- Motorcycle model — for example KTM 390 Duke.
- Design — ready or to your artwork.
- Size — in centimetres, for example 20×10 cm.
- Material — vinyl, laminated vinyl, reflective film.
- Quantity — pieces, pairs or kits.
- Application — whether you want help fitting.
- Delivery city and budget.
Example: “I need a full graphics kit for a KTM 390 Duke in thick laminated film, design from my artwork (I will send the file). With application if there is a fitter. Adelaide, budget up to $57.”
How to compare offers
Before judging the price, make sure you are comparing the same kits: how many pieces, whether there are stickers for the mudguards and the radiator shrouds, and how thick the film is. For your own design, ask whether preparing the artwork is in the price and whether the supplier will show a preview. If you want it applied, find out who does it and where.
Do not apply stickers to a dirty or cold surface: they will peel off quickly. Degrease the plastic before applying.
If you apply it yourself, warm the film edges slightly with a hairdryer so they lie without bubbles, and order the kit with a small spare of the little pieces: the first attempt is rarely perfect.
