Panama hats for trekking, fishing and kids: how to order well
What is the hat for: everything depends on this
A panama here means a bucket-style hat with an all-round brim that shields the face and neck from sun and rain. For fishing and treks, people choose light fabric with ventilation eyelets and a chin cord. A tactical or work panama is usually made of tough ripstop, often with a Velcro patch for a badge and a cord that stops the wind taking it off. A children's summer panama is cotton, bright, with a wide brim.
Fabric and camouflage
