Buy a SIM card, a fancy number or a plan: offers from sellers

What exactly are you buying

This category hides several different things under one heading: a starter pack from a network, a “fancy” number, a particular plan, an eSIM, or a batch of SIM cards for an office. The price and the procedure depend on which. So in the first line of your request say what you are looking for and on which network.

What to put in your request

  • network - the operator you want;
  • what you need - starter pack, fancy number, plan, eSIM, business SIMs;
  • the number you want - which digits or pattern: endings, mirror numbers, repeats;
  • plan - how much data and how many minutes, whether you need roaming, postpaid or prepaid;
  • quantity - for example, 10 cards for an office;
  • ownership transfer - whether the number must be registered in your name;
  • delivery and budget.

Example: “I am looking for a fancy number ending in 7777, transferred into my name. A plan with unlimited data. Courier delivery to Melbourne, budget up to $100.”

A fancy number: what to look at

The price of a fancy number depends on how “even” it is: repeats, mirror combinations and round endings are valued differently. But the main thing is not the number itself but how it is handed over. Ask who it is registered to now and whether it will be officially transferred to you. A number that stays in someone else's name can cause trouble, for example when you need to recover access to banking apps or messengers.

Also check that the number has no dues, contract or restrictions, and that no one else's accounts are linked to it.

Plan and number of cards

For personal use, compare the amount of data, minutes within the network and across Australia, and the monthly fee. If you need the number for travel, ask about roaming terms beforehand. For an office, ask for a business option with one bill for all the numbers: it is easier to control costs that way.

One more point: for an “inactive” card, ask whether it is already registered and how much starting balance it has. Operators change their plan terms, so confirm the current price with the seller at the time of ordering and compare it with the operator's official site.

How it works through BlaBlaPrice

You write one request on BlaBlaPrice, and sellers reply in a chat with what exactly they offer, for how much and how they hand it over. They see where their offer stands and compete for your request. The best offer by content is shown first, with reviews of the seller next to it. Your phone number is hidden, and only the one you choose gets your contacts. More on the “How it works” page.

If you also need a handset for the new number, see mobile phones. For basic keypad models or home calling there are landline phones.

Questions and answers

Can I buy a number transferred into my name?

Yes, say so in your request. The seller will confirm how the transfer works and whether it is included in the price.

What affects the price of a fancy number?

How even and memorable it is: repeats, mirror digits, round endings. Also the network and the way it is registered.

What is an eSIM and will it work for me?

It is a built-in electronic SIM with no plastic card. Your phone must support eSIM, so give the model.

Do sellers see my phone number?

No. Contacts are hidden and opened only to the seller you choose.
