Camping equipment hire: tent, sleeping bag, rucksack
Gear is chosen for the route and the season
There is no single “weekend kit”. For the mountains in October you need a sleeping bag with a comfort temperature around zero or lower, a mat with good insulation from the ground and a tent with a reliable flysheet. For a summer trip by a lake a lighter kit is enough. So in the request always write the place, the month and how many nights you will be out.
The second question is weight. If you walk for several days, a compact tent and a rucksack of the right volume matter. If you go by car, weight hardly matters and you can take a roomier option.
What to put in your request
- What to rent — tent, sleeping bags, mats, rucksack, stove, cookware, trekking poles.
- Specifications — tent capacity (for example, for 4 people), comfort temperature of the sleeping bag, rucksack volume in litres.
- Quantity — how many people and sets.
- Trek and season — hills or plains, the month, the expected weather.
- Term — dates or “for the weekend”; whether the day of collection and return counts.
- Handover — collection or delivery.
- Deposit — whether you can leave one or want none.
- City or area, budget for the whole set.
Example request
“I need a 3-person tent with a double flysheet, 2 sleeping bags with comfort down to 0 °C and 2 mats for 3 days, 18–20 October, for a trek in the mountains. Collection in Karachi, budget up to Rs 6,900 for everything.”
What to look at when comparing offers
Ask whether the tent is complete: poles, flysheet, pegs, bag. Is its waterproofing fit for rain, and has it been repaired before? For sleeping bags, ask whether they are cleaned and whether there is a liner sheet. It is a small thing that changes comfort a lot.
Compare offers by the full set, not by single items: sometimes it is better to take everything from one lender than to put it together from three. Check the return rules: in what condition a tent is accepted (dry or not), and whether there are penalties for wet gear.
A common mistake is taking seasonal gear with no margin. Nights in the mountains can be cold even in summer, so it is better to have a spare warm layer than to freeze.
How it works with BlaBlaPrice
You describe the trek in one request, and hire points and gear owners write offers in the chat: what they provide, price, handover. They see how their offer looks next to the others, so they compete on terms. Your contacts stay hidden until you choose a lender. Details are in the “How it works” section.
