Beauty tools and accessories: brushes, mirrors, makeup bags
For yourself or for work
A brush set for home and a makeup artist's set are different things. A professional set needs softer bristles, a better fit and more pieces, while a home set often needs just a few basics. So say in your first sentence what you are buying it for.
The same goes for mirrors, tweezers and organisers. For a professional, size, lighting, material and durability matter. For daily use, compactness does.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — makeup bag, mirror, tweezers, brushes, sponges, organiser, scissors, sharpener.
- Quantity — for example, a set of 12 brushes.
- Material — natural or synthetic bristles, stainless steel, leather, acrylic.
- Specifications — size, LED light, magnification, compartments.
- Home or professional — for yourself or for a makeup artist.
- Brand — for example, Real Techniques.
- Condition — new or used.
- Budget and city.
Example: “I need a new tabletop mirror with LED light and 10x magnification, at least 20 cm across. Johannesburg, courier delivery. Budget up to R 310.”
What to look at when choosing
Synthetic bristles don't soak up much product, suit cream textures and wash more easily. Natural bristles work better with powder and blush. For tweezers, look for evenly meeting tips and good steel, and check that the tips don't slip apart when pressed.
For makeup bags, look at a lining that is easy to wipe, the zip and the number of compartments. For lit mirrors, ask about the power source (rechargeable, USB, batteries) and the colour of the light: neutral light shows skin tone best.
Comparing offers
- For sets, work out the price per item, not per set.
- Ask whether the pack is sealed and which photos show this exact product.
- For electrical items (mirrors, devices), ask about the warranty.
- Look at the seller's reviews, not just the price.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe your request once. It is checked and you are prompted for anything missing. Then sellers send a price, photos and delivery terms in the chat. They see where their offer stands and adjust their terms, while BlaBlaPrice shows the best one first, judged on what it offers, with seller reviews alongside.
