Healthcare / pharmacy: say what exactly you’re looking for

How to find a nurse, doctor, pharmacist or vet for your clinic

Documents first, everything else after

In medicine and pharmacy qualifications are confirmed by documents, and selection starts with them. A degree, a specialisation, valid registration and, for doctors, the right to practise in the chosen field. A sensible approach is to name in the vacancy not only the post but also the specialty and the proof of qualification required, and to check the documents separately, before you sign anything.

Checking a candidate’s qualifications remains the responsibility of the institution or the employer.

Who you need

  • Doctor: the specialty needed, clinic consultations or home visits.
  • Dentist: general, orthodontist, surgeon, paediatric, with experience on your equipment.
  • Nurse: in a hospital, in a clinic room, procedural, care of a patient at home.
  • Pharmacist: in a pharmacy, with counter experience and knowledge of medicines.
  • Veterinarian: small animals, large animals, surgery, general practice.

Most often people look for a nurse, a doctor, a pharmacist and a dentist. For veterinary clinics there is a page for the veterinarian.

What to put in the vacancy

  • Profile and specialisation — which role, which procedures, which type of patients.
  • Documents — degree, certificate, required registrations and health clearances.
  • Experience — how many years, in which type of institution.
  • Schedule — shifts, duty hours, days off, nights, part-time.
  • Pay — salary, a percentage of consultations, allowances, payment dates.
  • Equipment and conditions — what the room has, whether materials and an assistant are provided.
  • Place — city, area, how easy the commute is, start.

Example request: “A dental clinic in Dubai is looking for a general dentist for 4 days a week, appointments from 9:00 to 17:00. At least 3 years of experience, an assistant and modern equipment are provided. Pay is a percentage of consultations, start next month.”

How searching on BlaBlaPrice works

You describe the vacancy once and candidates in your region reply in the chat: they tell you about their experience, when they can start and what they expect to be paid. The request is checked first, and you are told what else is missing. Contacts stay hidden, and you pass them only to the person you choose. The principle is set out on the “How it works” page.

How to select a candidate

Ask for copies of degrees and certificates and check them with the official registers. Ask about specific cases from practice, not general phrases. For nursing staff, references from earlier workplaces are useful. Agree clearly on the schedule and on responsibility for the staff’s actions. For care at home, agree the list of procedures in writing. Leave everything about treatment to doctors.

Think separately about how the work is organised. A nurse and a pharmacist need to know who the senior person is, how shifts are handed over and whether there are clear instructions. A doctor needs to know whether the institution holds the licence for the procedures needed, what equipment there is, and how payment per consultation works. For a private practice, agree who keeps the records and who is answerable to the patient. The more transparent the terms, the fewer misunderstandings in the first weeks.

Also settle leave and cover, especially in small institutions where a doctor or pharmacist works almost alone. It helps avoid downtime when someone in the team falls ill.

If you work in medicine and are looking for a job

If you are a medical professional, pharmacist or vet looking for work, register on BlaBlaPrice as a service provider, choose this category and region, and vacancies will come to you to answer. An employer can create a request on the home page.

Questions and answers

What should I include in a doctor’s vacancy?

The specialisation, volume of appointments, schedule, terms of pay and the available equipment. Also write which proof of qualification is required.

Does the site check a candidate’s degree?

The employer checks the documents. Ask for copies of degrees and certificates before work begins.

Can I look for a nurse for home care?

Yes, in the request state which procedures are needed, the schedule and the area. Agree the details of treatment with the doctor.

Will all candidates see my number?

No, the phone is hidden. You pass it only to the one you choose.
