Buy a smartphone at a good price: new and used, offers from sellers
New or used: how it changes the price
A smartphone is a product where the same device can cost very different amounts depending on condition, version and what is in the box. A new one has an official warranty. A used one is cheaper, but you must check its condition: ask about battery wear, scratches on the screen and body, and whether it has been repaired.
For a used iPhone, sellers usually state the battery capacity as a percentage. It is a handy guide: the higher it is, the longer the phone holds its charge.
What to put in your request
- model - brand and exact name, for example iPhone 14 Pro;
- new or used and what condition is acceptable (battery health, no cracks);
- memory - storage and RAM (256 GB);
- colour;
- version - the local retail version or an import, eSIM-only, dual SIM;
- important features - big battery, camera, NFC, a basic keypad phone for an elderly person;
- what is in the box - box, charger, case;
- warranty, delivery with your city and budget.
Example: “I am looking for a used iPhone 14 Pro, 256 GB, black, battery above 85%, no cracks. Full set. Courier delivery to Dubai, budget up to AED 2,200.”
The phone's version: what to ask for sure
Imported phones are the main source of trouble: a phone sold for another country may lack features or a warranty here. Ask which version it is, and check that the phone has no owner account lock (iCloud, Google). This is easy to confirm at handover or on video.
Some imported iPhones have one more quirk: certain models may have no physical SIM slot, only eSIM. If you need two SIMs, ask about the exact version. Also check whether the official warranty is valid in United Arab Emirates.
How to compare offers
- the same model, memory, colour and version;
- condition: photos, battery percentage, whether the screen or other parts were replaced;
- what is in the box and the warranty from the seller or the maker;
- whether you can check the phone on receipt, and the return terms.
How it works through BlaBlaPrice
You describe what you want on BlaBlaPrice, the request is checked, and phone sellers reply in a chat with the model, price, condition and delivery. They see where their offer ranks and compete for your request, so the price is often better. The best offer by content is shown first, with reviews next to it. Your phone number is hidden, and only the seller you choose gets your contacts. Details on the “How it works” page.
Think about protection right away: cases and screen protectors are often bought together with the phone. And smartwatches and fitness trackers go well with a smartphone.
