How to find promoters for flyers, tastings and campaigns
When you need a promoter
You need a promoter where people have to be stopped and interested: handing out flyers, a tasting in a store, advice at a stand, an event in costume, inviting people into a venue. Here degrees do not matter. Energy, a neat look and turning up for the shift on time do. So candidates are judged by responsibility and how easily they talk to people.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe the campaign in your own words in one request: what to hand out, where and when. You do not need to choose a category. The request is checked: no ads or contact details in the text, and a hint about what is missing. Interested people in your city reply in the chat and name their dates and rates. Your number stays hidden until you choose people. The request stays active for 7 days. More on the “How it works” page.
What to put in the request
- Type of work — flyers, tasting, advice, mascot costume.
- Place of work — metro station, mall, street.
- Schedule — date and hours for a one-off campaign or regular days.
- Number of promoters — how many people you need.
- Pay — per hour, per shift or per result, for example AED 4.37 an hour.
- Requirements — age (from 18), neat appearance, a medical fitness check for food tastings.
- Type of work — one-off campaign, season or regular.
Example: “We need 3 promoters to hand out flyers for a pizzeria near a busy metro station in Dubai. Saturday and Sunday, 4 hours each, AED 4.37 an hour, paid on the day of the campaign. From 18 years, neat appearance, we will provide the uniform and flyers.”
How to organise the work
Before they start, explain what to say and to whom to hand out: a 10-second line works better than long speeches. Check whether permission is needed to run the activity at a specific place, because malls and streets have their own rules. For tastings, ask about health documents.
Agree on pay in advance: do you pay for time worked or for the number of flyers handed out, and is there a penalty for being late? For a big campaign, keep spare people, because someone may not turn up. Ask for a contact channel for the day of the campaign.
Common mistakes
Not naming the exact place, and on arrival the spot is hard to find. Not stating the length of the shift. Hiring minors without keeping the legal limits in mind. Another mistake is not giving people water and breaks during a long shift outdoors, especially in summer heat: a tired promoter works worse. For advertising ideas, look at marketers, and look for other jobs in the “Advertising / design / PR” section.
For those looking for a job
If you want to work as a promoter, register on BlaBlaPrice as a service provider, choose this category and region, and reply to job requests. An employer only has to create a request.
