Book window and facade cleaning: flat, office, work at height
Two worlds: ordinary windows and work at height
Cleaning eight windows in a flat on the third floor and restoring the glass facade of an office are quite different jobs. For the first, a crew with telescopic brushes, rubber squeegees and a cleaning solution is enough. The second needs permission and safety training for work at height, insurance, equipment and sometimes a lift platform.
So from the start give the floor and the way to reach the outside. If the glass can only be reached from the street, the provider should know whether it can be done from a balcony, from the ground, from a platform or whether rope-access technicians are needed.
How to book through BlaBlaPrice
On BlaBlaPrice you don't search for company contacts, you write a request in your own words. Cleaners and rope-access technicians in your city reply in chat: the amount, the day, whether frames and sills are included. Only the one you choose sees your contacts.
What to put in your request
- Number of windows or area — panels, glazed balcony, square feet of glass.
- One side or both — and whether to clean frames and sills.
- Floor and height — and how to reach the outside.
- Type of building — flat, house, office, shop window, glass facade.
- Dirt — ordinary dust, after renovation, paint or sealant on the glass.
- Address or area.
- Date and frequency — once or every month.
- Budget, if you want to state one.
Example: “Perth, 9th floor. I need 8 windows and a glazed balcony cleaned on both sides, with frames and sills. There are paint marks on the glass after renovation. Rope-access technicians will be needed outside. On Saturday, budget up to $36.”
What affects the price
- Height and access: where equipment is needed, the work costs more.
- Dirt: paint or sealant marks are scraped off separately, which takes time.
- Number of sides, and whether frames, sills and mosquito nets are included.
- Window design: big panoramic panels and gaps between panes that can't be reached make the work harder.
- Frequency: a contract for periodic cleaning usually has different terms from a one-off visit.
What to look for in offers
Compare not only the figure but the scope: some price per window, some per hour, some for the whole job. Ask whether the crew has insurance and the safety training for work at height when it comes to a facade. Find out what happens if the weather turns: a change of day is usually agreed in advance. Reviews of the provider are shown next to the offer, and providers compete for your request, so terms often improve.
It is best not to clean windows in direct midday sun, and careful professionals know this. If the date is critical, agree on a spare day, especially in the rainy season.
