Plastic surgery: how to compare surgeons and all-inclusive prices
The price of a surgery is not one number
In plastic surgery, comparing prices by eye is risky. One offer may cover only the surgeon's fee, while another includes the anaesthetist, tests, a hospital stay, implants, compression garments and follow-up visits. So the first rule is to ask for a full breakdown of what is included and to compare like with like.
The second rule is that surgery is a medical procedure, and the decision is made after an in-person consultation with the surgeon. They will assess your health, the possible risks, and tell you honestly what can be achieved. This site does not give medical advice and does not guarantee results.
What to put in your request
- Surgery — rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift, ear pinning.
- Scope — upper or lower eyelids, implant size, liposuction areas, combined procedures.
- Goal — what you want to change or how you picture the result.
- First surgery or revision — whether it corrects an earlier operation.
- What the price includes — anaesthesia, tests, hospital stay, implants, garments, follow-up check-ups.
- Patient — sex, age, known health conditions.
- When, and your city.
- Surgeon or clinic — experience, portfolio.
- Budget, if you want to share it.
Example: “Woman, 35, I want a rhinoplasty to remove a bump, first surgery. I need an all-inclusive price: anaesthesia, hospital stay, tests, follow-up visits. Montreal, surgery in November. A surgeon with 10+ years of experience, budget up to $2,500.”
How to compare offers
- Surgeon: specialisation in this exact operation, the number of similar procedures done, before-and-after photos of the same patient.
- Clinic: whether it is properly registered, has an ICU, and offers round-the-clock monitoring in the first days.
- Implants and materials: the manufacturer, and the manufacturer's warranty if there is one.
- Recovery period: how many visits are included, and what happens if a revision is needed.
Common mistakes
People choose the cheapest offer and later pay extra for things that were not in the price. They rely only on photos online and don't ask to see the clinic's registration. They hide illnesses, medicines or smoking from the surgeon, which directly affects safety. They leave no time to think: a decision about surgery should not be rushed, and it helps to meet two or three surgeons.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe the surgery you want once, and surgeons and clinics reply with offers in the chat: what is included, what it costs, and when you can come for a consultation. BlaBlaPrice shows the best-value offer first, with reviews alongside. Your phone number stays hidden until you choose a specialist. Read more on “How it works”.
