Toyotas from different markets: what it affects
A Toyota Camry, Corolla or RAV4 on the road may have come from the local market, or from the USA, Europe, Japan or the Middle East. Versions for different markets differ in trim, lights and sometimes even engines. The Camry 40, for example, was sold with several engines, and the interior and electronics depended on the country. So in the request give not only the model and year but also, if you can, the VIN.
The interior: seats, airbags and upholstery
Say you need front seats. First decide with which options: power adjustment, heating, memory, side airbags. The connectors and sensors under the seat depend on this. Seats with airbags need care: check that the airbags have not gone off, and arrange for a specialist to do the removal.
The colour of the interior, and cloth or leather, matter if you want a matching set. Ask for photos of all sides of the seat to judge wear, seams and the state of the plastic.
For exterior parts such as headlights, bumpers or mirrors, ask which market the car came from. American Camrys have different indicators and side lights from European ones, and do not always fit without changes. On hybrids and all-wheel-drive RAV4s many units are separate, so mention that too.

- Part — seat, dashboard, headlight, bumper, with details;
- Year;
- Engine — for example, 2.4 petrol;
- Side — left or right;
- Colour — of the body or the interior;
- Condition — intact, no cracks or wear;
- VIN;
- Delivery city and budget.
Example: “Toyota Camry 40, 2008, 2.4 petrol. I need front seats in beige leather, with power adjustment and heating, no wear. Photos of all sides. I will give the VIN. Courier delivery to Toronto. Budget up to $200.”
How to compare offers
One offer is only a pair of seats, another has the rails, wiring and headrests. Another is for seats from a different trim. So check the list. Find out whether delivery is included: a heavy seat is shipped separately, and the postage can change the total a lot.
