Drill Bits, Discs and Tool Accessories: How to Choose and What They Cost
Accessories must suit both the tool and the material
The most common returns in this category are the wrong diameter, the wrong shank or the wrong material. So first sort out three things: which tool (a 125 mm or 230 mm angle grinder, an SDS-plus or SDS-max rotary hammer, a drill with a chuck), what you are working (metal, concrete, wood, tile, stainless steel) and what size you need.
A metal cutting disc isn't right for stone, and a wood bit won't take concrete. For stainless steel, choose discs marked INOX: they contain no iron, which ordinary discs can leave behind as rust spots on stainless.
What to put in your request
- what exactly — drill bits, core bits, cutting or grinding discs, saw blades, diamond discs, screwdriver bits, chisels, sandpaper;
- size — diameter, length, thickness, bore, for example 125×1.0×22.2 mm;
- for which material — metal, concrete, wood, tile, stone, stainless steel;
- shank or fitting — SDS-plus, SDS-max, hex, round;
- for which tool — angle grinder, rotary hammer, circular saw;
- quantity — pieces or sets, for example 100 pcs;
- brand, budget and delivery city.
Example: “I need 100 metal cutting discs, 125×1.0×22.2 mm, for an angle grinder, and 10 SDS-plus masonry drill bits, 8 and 10 mm. Bosch or similar. Courier delivery to Central, budget up to HK$390.”
Why thickness, markings and speed matter
Thin discs (1–1.2 mm) cut fast and cleanly, but wear out sooner, while thick ones are tougher. Every disc shows its maximum permitted speed: it must be no lower than the speed of your grinder. A disc rated for a lower speed can break up dangerously. Also don't use worn discs, and watch the shelf life of the bonding.
For drill bits, it matters whether they have a carbide tip: for concrete it is a must. A set for the home can be cheap, but for regular work on site, good accessories from a known brand pay for themselves faster.
How to compare offers
What to weigh is not the price per box, but the price per piece and the working life. A cheap disc that wears out in a few cuts ends up costing more. Ask about the brand, the country of origin, whether there is a certificate, and the shelf life of the bonding on discs. For a large batch, ask for a bulk price: sellers are more willing to give a discount for volume.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe what you need once, and accessory sellers reply with offers in a chat: what exactly, the price per piece or set, delivery. It is free for the buyer. Sellers see where they rank and compete for your request. BlaBlaPrice shows the best-value offer first, and seller reviews are visible alongside. Contacts stay hidden until you choose a seller. Create a request or find out how it works.
Look for the tool itself in the power tools or hand tools section.
