Co-ord sets for pregnancy and nursing: sports, lounge, three-piece
A set instead of separate items
A maternity set is usually a sports or lounge outfit: a hoodie or top, trousers and sometimes a vest. Its main advantage is one colour and one fabric, so the look is put together and you do not have to match things. But every piece in the set must work for the bump and for nursing, otherwise you will have to buy separate items anyway.
On BlaBlaPrice you describe once what you are looking for, and sellers send offers in the chat with price, sizes and delivery. It is free for the buyer, and your phone number stays hidden until you decide to share it.
What to put in your request
- type of set — two-piece, three-piece (hoodie, trousers, vest), with a cardigan, pyjama-style;
- for nursing — a nursing opening, side zips, wrap;
- size — for the top and bottom at once, if they differ;
- stage of pregnancy — trimester or week;
- season — summer, mid-season, warm and brushed;
- fabric — three-thread fleece, two-thread jersey, cotton;
- colour, condition and budget.
Example: “I'm looking for a new grey warm three-piece for pregnancy: a hoodie with a nursing opening, brushed trousers and a vest. Size L, third trimester. Kowloon, budget up to HK$280 courier delivery.”
Fabric and fit
Three-thread fleece with brushing is warm and soft, but can be hot indoors. Two-thread is lighter and suits mid-season. Check the composition: pure cotton without elastane stretches out at the knees fast, while with a bit of elastane it holds its shape longer.
For trousers, choose a wide knitted waistband above the bump or an adjustable drawstring. The hoodie should be longer so that it does not ride up, with a roomy hood and a pocket. In a three-piece the vest should be soft and have no seams across the bump.
If the set is needed both for walks and for the hospital, look for a neutral colour: grey or beige. For home use, soft jersey is more comfortable than dense, and for going out, a model that does not look like pyjamas.
How to compare offers
Check whether the offers are for the same set: some quote a price for the whole set, others for separate pieces. Ask for the inner leg length and the waist circumference. Find out whether you can exchange one piece if the top fits but the trousers do not. For second-hand, ask for photos of seams and the brushing inside.
BlaBlaPrice shows the best-value offer first, with seller reviews next to it. Sellers can see where they stand among the others and sharpen their terms, so a set often turns out cheaper than separate items.
Look for the rest of the wardrobe in T-shirts and vests, trousers and leggings and underwear. Everything together is in “Maternity wear”, and the mechanics are explained on the “How it works” page.
