What matters most in a blazer is the fit at the shoulders. Sleeve length and waist are easy to alter, but the shoulders are almost impossible to fix.
So compare measurements: shoulder width, chest, garment length and sleeve length. A double-breasted cut and a style that emphasises the waist sit differently on different figures.
