Game character figures: amiibo, Funko Pop and collectible figures
A collectible figure or an amiibo with a chip
Figures of game heroes come in two types. Collectibles, like Funko Pop, decorate a shelf and are valued for their looks and rarity. Figures with an NFC chip, like amiibo for Nintendo, unlock extra content in games, so compatibility with the platform matters. Skylanders and Disney Infinity need the matching portal or game.
So before you write the request, decide: is the figure for playing or for the collection? For a collection the box and the series matter, for playing the chip has to work.
What to put in your request
- character: Mario, Link from Zelda, heroes from Fortnite or Mortal Kombat;
- series: amiibo, Funko Pop, Skylanders and others;
- platform: for NFC figures, Nintendo Switch, Wii U or another;
- size: height in centimetres or scale;
- new or used: in the box or without it; for collectors the box matters;
- original or copy;
- quantity: one figure or a set;
- delivery and budget.
Example: “I'm looking for an original amiibo figure of Link from the Zelda series for Nintendo Switch, new in the box. Courier delivery, Johor Bahru. Budget up to RM 120.”
Original, replica and the state of the box
Figures from popular series are often faked. The difference shows in the quality of the paint, the seams and the text on the base and the box. Ask the seller for photos from all sides and ask where the figure came from. For collectibles the condition of the box is very important: scratches, dents and faded print lower the value even if the figure itself is fine.
Bundles and sets (say, six figures) can be better value, but check that every item is original and from the same series. For rare, discontinued models prices depend heavily on demand, so compare several offers.
Size also affects the price: standard Funko Pop figures are about ten centimetres tall, while large statues in scale cost something quite different. So give the exact height or scale in the request.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
A rare figure is hard to find in one shop. Describe it in a request, and collectors and shops will reply in the chat with photos, price, condition and delivery. Each one sees where their offer ranks and can improve their terms. The system shows the one that is best on substance first, seller reviews are visible next to it, and your contacts stay hidden. Common mistakes
People buy a figure without checking whether it works with their console. They don't find out the state of the box. They buy a fake at the price of an original. For the games these figures work with, see console games.
