How to buy a bag at a good price: women's, men's, branded
Start with what has to go inside
A lovely bag that can't fit what you need soon gets tiresome. So list what you carry every day: wallet, phone, keys, a pouch, a water bottle, perhaps a tablet or A4 documents. For A4 you need a tote or a business bag, a phone and cards fit in a crossbody or a clutch, and for daily shopping a tote with strong handles is better.
Look at how the bag is carried too. A bag on a long strap frees your hands, but it keeps the weight on one shoulder. Across the body spreads the load better, which is why crossbodies are handy for travel.
Material, authenticity and condition
Genuine leather lasts longer and ages well, faux leather is lighter and cheaper, and fabric works well for summer. The lining, the seams and the hardware show quality: uneven stitching and shiny paint on the edges are a bad sign. For branded bags, such as Coach, always find out whether it is original or a replica: ask for a receipt, a photo of the tag with the serial number, the dust bag and the packaging. On a pre-owned bag, check the corners, handles and fastenings, as these wear out first.
What to put in your request
- Type of bag — crossbody, shopper, tote, clutch, shoulder, travel.
- Brand — if you want a specific one.
- Material — genuine leather, faux leather, fabric.
- Size — dimensions or “must fit A4”.
- Colour — versatile beige or black, or an accent colour.
- Condition — new or pre-owned, acceptable signs of use.
- Original or replica — and whether a receipt is needed.
- For whom — men's or women's.
- Delivery city and budget, if you want to name one.
Example: “I'm looking for a women's tote in genuine leather, beige, big enough for A4 and a 14-inch laptop, new or in perfect condition, original Coach with a receipt. Christchurch, courier delivery. Budget up to $530.”
How to compare offers on BlaBlaPrice
Bags are sold by shops, private sellers and showrooms, so the price for similar models varies a lot. On BlaBlaPrice you don't scroll through hundreds of listings; you write one request. Sellers answer in the chat: what exactly they offer, the price, whether it is original, delivery terms, photos. The platform shows the best by content first, and seller reviews are visible next to each offer. Every seller sees their place among others, so they often improve their terms.
Compare more than the price: material, condition, what is included (dust bag, strap, box) and whether you can return it. Your phone number is hidden, and only the seller you choose gets your contacts. You can read how it all works on the “How it works” page.
To go with the bag, pick a wallet or pouch and a belt, and for city errands a backpack.
