Home Textiles: Towels, Throws, Bedspreads — Good Value by Request
Textiles you will feel every day
Towels, throws, tablecloths, bedspreads and mattress covers are things that touch your skin or get washed all the time. So the cheap option often turns out expensive: after a few washes it shrinks, fades or comes apart at the seams. Decide by composition and fabric density, not by price.
What to look at, by type
- Towels: cotton terry absorbs water well; density is usually given in GSM. For the bath and the pool, take larger ones.
- Throws and bedspreads: fleece ones are light and dry fast, wool and acrylic ones are warmer, but need gentle washing.
- Tablecloths: for daily use, ones with a water-repellent finish are more practical.
- Mattress covers: protectors come as waterproof and quilted types. The size must match the height of the mattress.
Pillows, duvets and bed linen are in other categories; links are below.
What to put in your request
Home textiles are sold by countless shops, so without details the offers will scatter. Write:
- what exactly — towels, throw, bedspread, tablecloth, mattress protector;
- size — in centimetres or the standard (single, double, king);
- fabric or filling — cotton, linen, wool, microfibre;
- colour — plain or patterned;
- quantity — single items or sets;
- special features — hypoallergenic, for children, for winter;
- maker — made locally or imported;
- new or second-hand;
- delivery and budget.
Example: “I am looking for a set of 100% cotton terry towels: 4 large 70×140 cm and 4 small 50×90 cm, plain grey. New, made locally. Courier delivery to Auckland, budget up to $62.”
How we make this simpler
On the main page of BlaBlaPrice you write what you need once, and textile sellers receive your request. They reply in a chat: what they offer, the price, the composition, timing and delivery. The best-value offer comes first, and seller reviews are visible next to it.
Sellers see where their offer ranks and how strong the competition is, so they often lower the price or add a gift to the order. It is free for the buyer, and contacts are opened only to the seller you choose. Details are on the “How it works” page.
How to compare the replies
The words “cotton” or “premium” alone mean nothing. Ask for the exact composition (the percentage of each fibre), the density and the size after washing. Ask whether it can be washed at 60 °C, which matters for towels. If you are buying a lot for a guest house or a salon, negotiate a bulk price.
