How to Buy a Memory Card or Flash Drive: microSD, SD, USB, Custom Logo
Not every card suits every device
A memory card for a dashcam, an action camera, a drone and a phone are not the same thing. A dashcam overwrites data day and night, so it needs a high-endurance card. For 4K video in an action camera or drone, steady write speed matters, while for a Nintendo Switch an ordinary microSD is usually enough. Before buying, check in the device's manual what maximum capacity and which classes it supports.
What the letters and numbers on a card mean
Class U3 and video class V30 guarantee the minimum write speed needed for 4K video. The A1 or A2 mark refers to running apps from the card, and is worth looking for on phones and consoles. UHS-II is faster, but needs a compatible device and reader. For professional cameras there is CFexpress. Remember that the read speed on the box, for example 170 MB/s, is not the same as the write speed.
Fakes and real capacity
Cards and flash drives are often faked: the case says 512 GB, but much less really works. Buy from trusted sellers and after purchase check the true capacity with a special utility. Brand and series (SanDisk Extreme, Kingston, Samsung EVO) matter, but buying from a reliable place matters more. Don't rely on a single card for important recordings.
Custom-logo flash drives for business
If you are looking for gift flash drives for clients or a conference, give the quantity, capacity, preferred body (metal, plastic, wood) and the way the logo is applied: printing or engraving. Add a layout or a description of the logo and the date by which you need the batch. The price per unit depends a lot on the quantity.
What to put in your request
- type: microSD, SD, CFexpress, USB flash drive (A or Type-C), card reader;
- capacity: in GB or TB;
- speed class: U3, V30, A2, UHS-II, USB 3.2;
- what for: action camera, dashcam, phone, Switch, drone, 4K, CCTV;
- quantity: from one piece to a batch;
- logo printing, if needed;
- brand, delivery, budget.
Example: “I need a 256 GB microSD, class U3 V30, for a 4K action camera, SanDisk Extreme brand, 2 pieces. Courier delivery to Wellington, budget up to $53 each.”
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
One request on BlaBlaPrice is enough. Sellers reply in the chat: brand, class, price, timing and delivery, and for batches with a logo, the cost of the print run as well. They compete for your choice, so terms are often better. The best-value offer is shown first, with reviews of the seller next to it. Your phone number is hidden, and it is free for buyers.
