Tattoo and permanent makeup removal: laser, number of sessions and price
The cost depends on the design
Laser tattoo removal is not "erase it in one go". You usually need several sessions with breaks for healing, and the result depends on the colour, density and depth of the pigment. Black is easiest to remove, while bright and light shades, such as yellow, green and sometimes turquoise, can respond less well. An old professional tattoo with dense pigment is often harder than a fresh amateur one.
Permanent makeup on brows, lips and eyes
Permanent makeup is usually shallow, so it often fades faster, but the pigment can be unpredictable: after a few sessions the colour may change, for example turning greyish or reddish. So it helps to show the professional a photo and say which pigment was used. Sometimes, instead of full removal, you only need to lighten it so that a new design can be put over it.
What affects the price
- the size of the design in centimetres and how complex it is;
- the colour and density of the pigment;
- the type of laser: picosecond or Q-switch; picosecond machines are common for coloured and old work;
- the number of sessions, and whether the price for a course is fixed;
- the location on the body: wrist, neck, back.
How to compare offers
One price may be per session, another for a course "until fully removed". So ask how many sessions the professional realistically expects, what happens if more are needed, and whether they can work with your colour. Ask about aftercare and the breaks between sessions. Tell them in advance about pregnancy, skin conditions or medicines, and check with a doctor.
On BlaBlaPrice you don't phone every salon: you describe the design once, attach one photo, and professionals reply in the chat with a price or what it depends on, and dates. They see their place among the others and compete on terms, and reviews appear beside the offers. Your phone number stays hidden. Read more in the “How it works” section.
