Women's Ugg-style Boots: Buy Genuine Ones and Avoid Fakes
What real Ugg-style boots are
Classic Ugg-style boots are made of natural sheepskin: fur inside, leather outside. That is how they hold the warmth and keep the foot from sweating. Cheap alternatives with faux fur and fabric only look similar, keep you less warm and mat faster. “UGG” is a registered brand, so other makers often write just “Ugg-style” or “Australian boots”, and that is not necessarily a fake.
So before buying, decide what matters more to you: the original brand, natural sheepskin without the brand name, or simply warm boots that look similar. The price depends on it.
Model, height, water resistance
Ugg-style boots come in ultra mini, short, mid and tall versions, on a platform or with a flat sole. Tall ones keep you warmer, minis are handy for in-between weather. Look carefully at the finish: classic sheepskin fears wet snow and rain, so for the rainy season or wet weather choose models with a water-repellent coating or a membrane.
The size in such footwear is usually chosen “to fit the foot” or half a size smaller, because sheepskin softens. It is better to check this with the seller for the specific model.
What to put in your request
- brand — for example UGG Australia or any natural sheepskin;
- model and height — ultra mini, mini, short, tall, platform;
- original or replica — original only or a similar one is fine;

- material — natural sheepskin, suede with faux fur, water-repellent coating;
- colour — for example chestnut;
- budget and city.
Example: “I need new original UGG Ultra Mini Platform boots, size 38, chestnut, natural sheepskin. Delivery to Hamilton. Budget up to $260.”
How to compare offers
Submit one request on BlaBlaPrice, and sellers who deal in footwear reply in the chat with specific offers: the model, price, delivery, photos. The system shows the best one first, with the seller's reviews next to it. Your contacts stay hidden until you choose a seller. More is in “How it works”.
To keep the comparison fair, look at the material, not just the name: is there really sheepskin inside, what the country of manufacture is, whether there are tags and a box. For an original, ask for photos of the tag, the inner seam and the sole. A noticeably lower price is a reason to ask why.
