How to find a call centre agent: inbound, outbound, remote
Inbound or outbound calls: these are different people
A support agent answers customer calls: listens patiently, finds a solution and logs the issue in the system. An outbound agent sells, runs surveys or reminds people about payments, and here persistence and resilience to refusals matter. It is rare to find one person who fits both roles perfectly.
So say in the request what kind of calls these are and for which project: internet provider support, delivery orders, cold sales, surveys. The candidate will see whether it interests them.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You do not post a vacancy on several sites or sift through dozens of CVs. You write one request on BlaBlaPrice, it is checked for ads and contacts in the text and you get hints about what is missing. Then candidates in your area respond, or from any city if the work is remote.
In the chat they tell you about their experience, languages, when they can start and what pay they expect. The answers are compared by content, with reviews next to each. The phone number stays hidden until you choose a person. It is free for employers, and a request is active for 7 days.
What to put in the vacancy
- Type of calls — inbound (support) or outbound (sales, surveys);
- Project — the product or client the agent will work with;
- Pay — fixed salary plus incentives, or a share of sales;
- Shifts — for example, 2 on, 2 off, 8 am to 8 pm, night shifts, part-time;
- Language — the local language, English with a level such as B2, or another language;
- Format — office or remote, city;
- Employment — regular employee or contract, full or part time;
- Experience — none needed or required.
Example: “We need an outbound agent to sell internet provider plans. Manila or remote. Shifts 2 on, 2 off, 8 am to 8 pm. Salary ₱19,000 plus incentives, regular employment. The local language and English; another language is a plus. No experience needed, we train.”
What to consider before hiring
Be honest about how pay works: what is in the fixed part, what is in the incentive and by what plan it is calculated. This is the most common reason agents leave in the first weeks. Clarify the mandatory training, the scripts, whether calls are recorded and whether there is a probation period.
If the work is remote, state the technical requirements: internet, headset, laptop. For text conversations with customers rather than voice, see a live chat agent.
