Rule one: give the model, generation and year
The Kia Sportage, Ceed, Rio or Sorento got new bodies and facelifts every few years, and the parts between them are not always interchangeable. The Sportage 3, for example, and the previous Sportage have different mirrors, headlights and bumpers. More confusion comes from the fact that Kia shares many units with Hyundai.
So in your request write not “Kia” but the exact model, generation and year. If you know the engine or the VIN, add those too.
Example: the electric rear-view mirror
A mirror seems a small thing, but each body has several versions: with electric folding, with heating, with a turn indicator, with a puddle light. The connectors differ too: the number of pins may not match. So say what your door has now, and ask the seller to list what their mirror has.
Ask about colour too: the mirror housing is usually in the body colour. If the colour does not match, you will have to paint it, and that is a separate cost.
Similar details apply to other parts. Headlights come in halogen and xenon versions, and their mounting lugs often break. Doors are fitted out differently: window regulators, locks, trim. So ask for a photo of the part from the inside. It is also useful to ask the donor's mileage and whether it had an accident with an impact on that side.
If you plan to paint a body part, colour does not matter: condition and price decide. Then you can consider a part of any colour, as long as it has no dents.

- Model — for example, Kia Sportage 3;
- Part — left or right mirror, headlight, door;
- Year and body;
- Engine — when the part depends on the motor;
- Side — left or right;
- Colour — such as “white” or the paint code;
- Condition — intact, no cracks, working;
- VIN;
