Manicure and pedicure supplies: gel polish, lamps and drills at a fair price
Home and salon buying are different
A nail technician who works every day needs professional ranges, large sizes and steady batch quality. For a home manicure a basic kit is enough. The difference is real: a salon drill has a stronger motor and runs without overheating, and a pro lamp must cure the whole hand evenly.
So say at once who you are buying for, and whether you plan regular purchases.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — gel polish, base and top coat, UV/LED lamp, nail drill, manicure set, files, tools.
- Home or professional — salon quantities and ranges.
- Specifications — lamp power in watts, drill rpm, bottle volume.
- Brand — for example, Kodi.
- Shade — name or number: nude, no. 102.
- Quantity — the price per piece depends on it.
- Condition — new or used, for equipment.
- Budget and delivery city.
Example: “I need a new 48 W LED lamp for a salon, with a timer for 30, 60 and 99 seconds, and 10 Kodi gel polishes in nude shades. Karachi, delivery. Budget up to Rs 17,000.”
Lamps, drills and gel polishes: what to look at
The lamp has to match the gel polish formula: UV, LED or combined. Otherwise the polish may not cure. Power in watts doesn't always mean better curing. The number of diodes and evenness of light matter too.
For drills, look at the number of revolutions, the vibration of the handpiece and whether there is reverse for left-handed users. It is better not to mix gel polishes from different makers in one manicure, because base coats and top coats are not always compatible.
With disposables (files, buffers) it makes sense to buy in larger quantities: the price per piece in such sets is usually lower.
Sterility and safety
If you are buying tools for a salon, ask about the material: stainless steel withstands sterilisation, while cheap alloys go blunt and rust. Files and buffers for clients are best disposable or with separate replaceable sleeves. Bits for pedicure and manicure differ in shape and abrasive, so say what exactly they are for.
How to compare offers
- The brand original, bottle volume and expiry date.
- What comes with the equipment: bits, cable, warranty.
- The price per millilitre of polish or per piece at your quantity.
- Delivery cost and time.
