How to find a courier: order delivery on foot, by bike or by car
First decide how deliveries will be made
A courier can run with parcels on foot, ride a bicycle or scooter, or deliver large orders in their own car. The area, the weight of the parcels and the pay depend on this. If you don't say it, people will reply who imagined the job very differently.
Also think about how flexible the arrangement should be. For an online shop a flexible schedule often works, but food delivery needs fixed peak hours, evenings and weekends.
For a courier on foot, the realistic radius is usually small, while with a car you can cover half a city. Don't promise more orders than there really are: people calculate their hourly earnings and quickly leave if there are fewer orders than advertised.
Couriers also value predictability: how and when orders arrive, whether there is an app, and whether they must collect goods from the warehouse themselves.
What to put in the job post
- What to deliver — online shop orders, food, documents, medicines;
- Pay — per order, per hour, per shift, plus tips or bonuses;
- Place of work — city and area, for example the city centre;
- Schedule — flexible, evenings, weekends, fixed hours;
- Mode of delivery — on foot, bicycle, motorbike, own car;
- Paperwork — contract, work as a registered business, informal for a side job;
- Experience — needed or not;
- Compensation — fuel, travel, insulated bag.
Example: “Singapore. Couriers needed to deliver online shop orders in their own car. Flexible schedule, evenings welcome, pay from $0.64 per order plus fuel compensation. Paid as a registered business, experience not required.”
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe the task on the home page in your own words, and the site picks the category itself and checks the text. Couriers reply in chat: they write about their area, vehicle and the hours they can work. You choose the most suitable ones and share contacts only with them. Details are on the How it works page.
What to look for in replies
For delivery, the most important thing is that the person knows the area and replies to messages on time. Ask whether they have delivered similar orders, whether they use navigation and whether they are ready to work in rain and heat.
Agree clearly on payment for failed deliveries, returned orders and who is responsible for damage. If the courier uses their own vehicle, discuss fuel and compensation.
Don't forget to say when and how you pay: daily, weekly or after a month. Couriers value this a lot.
