Animals: how to find a pet, feed or supplies for it
What you need: an animal, feed or a service
The “Animals” section covers many things, from cats and dogs to bee colonies, from feed to incubators. So the first step is to choose a direction. Pets, farm animals, care products and services need different details, and that decides which questions a seller will ask.
When you buy a live animal, never rush. Ask for photos and videos, find out about living conditions, papers and vaccinations, and talk to a vet about health and the choice of breed.
Subcategories: find yours
- Pets — dogs, cats, decorative birds, rodents, reptiles, aquarium fish, spiders, snails and insects. Give the breed or species, age, sex, and whether there are papers and vaccinations.
- Farm animals — cattle, pigs, goats and sheep, rabbits, poultry, horses and ponies, bee colonies. Breed, age, weight, purpose (meat, milk, breeding) and vet certificates matter.
- Supplies and feed — pet supplies, feed for cats, dogs, livestock and poultry, veterinary medicines, kennels, enclosures, dog gear. Give the animal, size, weight, maker and pack size.
- Equipment — incubators and livestock equipment: capacity, power, automation.
- Services — pet services: grooming, boarding, vet, training.
- Other — “Pets free to a good home”, mating, and lost and found.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — species, breed or type of product, quantity.
- Age, sex, size — for animals; weight and pack size — for feed.
- Papers — pedigree, passport, vaccinations, vet certificate.
- Purpose — a family pet, shows, breeding, a farm.
- City and delivery — where to collect, whether transport is needed.
- Budget — if you want to name one.
Example: “I am looking for a Labrador puppy, female, under 3 months, vaccinated and with a passport, for a family. Singapore, pick-up, budget up to $380.”
How BlaBlaPrice works for the buyer
You do not go through ads or write to everyone: you make one request in your own words. You do not need to choose a category, because the site finds it itself, and before sellers see the request it is checked and you are told what is still missing. Then breeders, shops and farms reply in the chat with a price, photos and terms, and BlaBlaPrice shows the best-fitting offer first. Reviews of the seller are visible next to each. Your number is hidden, and the service is free for buyers. You can read more on the “How it works” page, and you can create a request here.
What to look at in the replies
Compare offers on the same terms: what is in the price, whether there are papers, vaccinations, a health guarantee and return terms. For a live animal, ask about the parents, living conditions and feeding routine. For feed, check the ingredients and pack size, not just the price tag. Do not send money in advance to a stranger without proof that the animal really exists: ask for a live video.
For farm animals it is even more important to agree on transport: ask who arranges it, whether vet papers are needed for the move and what vehicle the animal will travel in. For bee colonies and poultry, check the season when they can be collected, because sellers work to a schedule. Seasons affect both price and availability, so make your request early.
