Women's Lingerie Sets: How to Choose and Buy at a Good Price
A set or separate pieces
A set is good because the top and bottom match in colour, lace and trim. But the sizes of the bra and the knickers are rarely the same, and not every seller sells the parts separately. If your measurements are non-standard, for example 80C on top and S below, write both sizes in your request, and ask whether a set can be put together from different sizes.
What to choose by purpose
For every day you need cotton or microfibre, soft quick-drying fabrics and seamless briefs. For special occasions people choose lace, sets with a bralette or with a push-up. For pregnancy and nursing there are sets with hidden clasps and a wide waistband, and under dresses and T-shirts, seamless styles that do not show.
The style of the bottom changes comfort: briefs cover more, thongs and Brazilian cuts less. Lace knickers on a cotton gusset are more comfortable every day than fully synthetic ones.
What to put in your request
- size — band and cup of the bra, size of the knickers;
- style — bralette, push-up, briefs, thong, Brazilian;
- material — lace, cotton, microfibre, seamless;
- purpose — everyday, special occasion, pregnancy or nursing;
- colour — burgundy, black, powder pink;
- brand, if you have already chosen;
- quantity — several sets leave room for a discount;
- budget, if you want to name one.
Example: “I am looking for 3 lingerie sets, bralette and briefs, cotton with lace, size 75C and M, in burgundy and black. Delivery to Ajman, budget up to AED 130.”
How to compare offers
Compare what is included: only the bra and knickers, or an extra pair of knickers in the set. The price per set can look different when one has two items and another three. Ask about the fabric composition, whether there are underwires and about size exchange.
When you buy several sets at once, negotiate a price for the quantity: sellers compete for such requests and often meet you halfway. For a gift, ask about the packaging.
