Used Volkswagen parts: Passat, Golf, Tiguan and body parts
Passat B6: saloon or estate
The rear bumper of a Passat B6 differs in shape between the saloon and the estate (Variant), so the first question for yourself is which body you have. Next comes the facelift: on a Volkswagen you can see it in the exterior details, but it is better to match by the VIN. Also check whether the bumper has holes for parking sensors: both its look and its price depend on that.
Such checks are needed because for popular Volkswagen models the market has many similar parts from different donor cars, and it is easy to take the wrong one.
Body colour: where to find the paint code
On a VW the paint code is usually shown on a sticker in the boot, under the floor, or in the service book. With the code, the breaker will find a bumper that matches your car’s colour or tell you there is none. Without the code, write the name of the colour and add a photo of your car in daylight. If you are going to repaint, the colour does not matter, but the part must have no cracks or deep scratches.
What to put in your request
- Model and generation — for example, Volkswagen Passat B6;
- Part — rear bumper, with or without parking sensors;
- Year and body (saloon or Variant);
- Engine — for example, 2.0 TDI, BKP;
- Side — for parts that come in pairs;
- Colour — or the paint code;
- Condition — no dents or cracks;
- VIN;
- Delivery city and budget.
Example: “Volkswagen Passat B6 saloon, 2008, 2.0 TDI. I need a rear bumper in metallic grey with holes for parking sensors, no cracks or signs of repair. I will send the paint code. Courier delivery to Abu Dhabi. Budget up to AED 440.”
What to check before paying
Plastic bumpers often have damaged mounts that are not visible in photos. Ask for photos from the inside: you can see the lugs, brackets and signs of glue repair there. Check whether the trims, mouldings and the reinforcement are included in the price. Also ask how it will be packed: a bumper is bulky, and the cost of shipping may differ between offers.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
Instead of scrolling through listings, you leave one request on BlaBlaPrice. Volkswagen breakers reply in the chat with a price, photos and terms. The platform shows the best-value offer first, and seller reviews help you choose between similar ones. Sellers compete for your request because they can see their place. Only the chosen seller sees your contacts. Read more on the “How it works” page.
