How to find loaders: unloading, warehouse, house shifting

Describe the load first, not just “loaders needed”

A loader's work can be very different: 50 kg sacks at a depot, boxes of home appliances, furniture carried up stairs with no lift, unloading a truck in an hour. A candidate who agreed to “just loading” often leaves after the first shift, because the weight and pace were not what he imagined.

So say at once what exactly and in what volume must be carried, whether there is a ramp, trolleys and a pallet truck, or everything is by hand. This saves time for you and for those who reply.

How it works on BlaBlaPrice

You create one request on the home page in your own words. Before it is shown, it is checked and you get hints about the details candidates still lack. Then loaders from your region reply in chat: they tell you about their experience, when they can start and what pay they expect. Your phone number is hidden, and only the person you choose gets your contacts. More on this on the How it works page. A request stays live for 7 days and can be extended.

What to put in the job post

  • Type of work — unloading trucks, picking, house shifting, work at a warehouse or market;
  • Load — sacks, crates, furniture, weight per item;
  • Pay — per hour, shift, day or volume, and when you pay: daily or weekly;
  • Place — city, area, address of the base;
  • Schedule — day or night shifts, a one-time job;
  • Number of people — how many loaders are needed at once;
  • Type of employment — formal, as a registered business, a side job for a few days;
  • Accommodation — if lodging is provided for people from out of town.

Example: “2 loaders needed to unload trucks with 50 kg sacks, vegetable depot in Ipoh. Night shifts, a 3-day side job, pay RM 29 per shift, paid daily. Physically strong, no bad habits.”

What to look at in replies

Compare more than the rate. Check whether the candidate is ready for that weight, has experience with this kind of load and can come on the day you need. Loaders should arrive on time and, if several people are needed, as a group. If the work is for a single shift, ask whether the person has a partner.

When the load is valuable or fragile, agree separately on responsibility and on who may be on the premises. For regular work, say at once whether a health certificate is needed and how you employ people.

If you are looking for loader work

Register on BlaBlaPrice as a service provider, pick this category and your region, and job posts from employers will come to you. In your reply, mention your experience, when you can start and the pay you want. Similar jobs are available for storekeepers and forklift operators.

Questions and answers

How many loaders should I state if I am not sure?

Write an approximate number and the volume of the load, for example “a 20-tonne truck”. Candidates will tell you in chat how many people are usually needed.

Can I find loaders for a single day?

Yes, just state the date, time, address and pay per shift or hour. People who want one-off side jobs reply with the date they are ready.

Which is better: hourly pay or pay by volume?

Hourly is simpler when the volume is unknown. Pay by volume or per shift suits work that is easy to measure, such as the number of trucks or pallets.

Will all candidates see my phone number?

No, contacts are hidden. You pass them only to the one you choose, through the channels you specify.
