Citroen and Peugeot: what is shared and what is not
Many Citroen models have “twins” at Peugeot: Berlingo and Partner, Jumpy and Expert, Jumper and Boxer. Engines and gearboxes are shared too, for example the 1.6 HDi diesel. That is good: the circle of possible breakers is wider. But body parts, lamps and interior are different for each make, so ask for an exact match, not “fits from a Peugeot”.
Engine and fuel system
In a request for a diesel Citroen, always write the engine: 1.6 HDi, 2.0 HDi or another. Everything depends on it: injectors, the high-pressure fuel pump, the turbocharger, the catalytic converter. For the pump and injectors, ask about diagnostics, because a unit may work only partly.

Comfort and suspension details
Some Citroens, the C5 in particular, have hydropneumatic suspension. Parts of this system (spheres, pump, control unit) are very specific, so turn to sellers who know it. These cars also have a lot of comfort electronics, and a unit must match by number.
Compare by substance
Find out which car the part came from, its mileage and whether you can return it. For the body, ask for a photo of the colour in daylight, because shades differ. For electronics, write the unit number. A price without delivery does not give the full picture.
For the Berlingo and C4 Picasso, people often look for sliding doors, tail lamps and seats. The Picasso interior is more complex: check whether you need seats with heating, adjustments or a folding system. It pays to take such parts as a set together with the trim panels, if you need those too.
