GPS trackers and vehicle monitoring: how to order at a good price
One car or a whole fleet
The task for a private car and for a business is completely different. A car owner often needs location, an alert on unauthorised movement and route history. A fleet needs reports, fuel use, driver control and integration with software. So first decide how many vehicles you have and what exactly you want to find out.
Wired or standalone tracker
- A wired tracker connects to the vehicle's power, hides inside the cabin and works all the time. It suits fleet records and anti-theft protection. It needs installation, preferably by a professional.
- A standalone tracker has its own battery and often a magnet. It suits trailers, cargo and equipment without constant power. The charge lasts a limited time, depending on the mode.
Remember that a tracker needs a SIM card for data and a platform where you will watch the position.
Features you really need
Basic trackers show the location, speed and route. You can add a fuel level sensor (for fuel records and to catch fuel theft), engine blocking, driver identification (key or card), CAN bus data reading, a panic button and a microphone. Each feature needs compatible equipment on the vehicle, so check that the model supports it.
For a private car, look for hidden installation: a tracker that can be seen is easy to switch off. For a fleet, it helps to have several users in the system and alerts when a vehicle leaves a zone.
What to put in your request
- Type of vehicle — car, truck, special equipment, trailer, motorcycle.
- Number of vehicles.
- Features — fuel sensor, engine blocking, driver key, CAN, panic button.
- Power — wired or standalone.
- Monitoring — app, platform, reports, monthly fee.
- Installation — whether you need it and where.
- Make and model — Teltonika, Ruptela, Concox and others.
- City, budget.
Example: “I need 10 GPS trackers for trucks with a fuel level sensor and engine blocking, for example Teltonika FMB920, installed at our depot. I need an app and reports. Cebu City. Budget up to ₱3,800 per tracker.”
How to compare offers
Ask separately about the cost of the equipment, the installation and the monthly monitoring: some sellers give the platform free, others charge a subscription. Check where the mobile network works and whether data is stored when the signal drops. Also ask about the warranty and support, especially for a large fleet.
How BlaBlaPrice helps
You write one request, and sellers and installers answer in chat: which equipment, the price, the installation and monitoring terms. They see where their offer stands and can improve it. You compare and choose yourself, with reviews in front of you. Contacts stay hidden until you decide to share them. Details in how it works.
