How to buy a gym machine at a good price: delivery, carrying up, assembly
First the space and the goal
A machine takes more space than it seems in a shop. Measure the room: the length of a treadmill with clearance behind it, the ceiling height for a cross trainer, the way to the door. A folding model saves space, but it is usually less rigid than a fixed one.
Then decide your goal. For weight loss and cardio people take a treadmill, exercise bike, cross trainer or rowing machine. For strength: a multi-gym, a cable station, a cable crossover or a Smith machine. For home, domestic class is usually enough; a gym needs a commercial model.
What to put in your request
- type of machine — treadmill, exercise bike, cross trainer, rowing machine, multi-gym, stepper;
- specifications — maximum user weight, motor power, speed, incline, belt size, weight stack;
- purpose — home or commercial gym;
- brand and model, for example Toorx TRX-90;
- dimensions — length, width and height of the space;
- condition — new, or used and in working order;
- delivery and assembly — carrying up to the floor, whether there is a lift, whether installation is needed;
- budget and city.
Example: “I am looking for a new foldable treadmill for home, user up to 110 kg, motor from 2 HP, belt from 120 cm long. Quezon City, carrying up to the 5th floor without a lift and assembly. Budget up to ₱30,000.”
What to look at when comparing
Two treadmills at the same price can differ a lot. Look at the continuous motor power, not the peak, the length and width of the belt, the cushioning and the maximum weight. On exercise bikes the flywheel mass and the type of resistance matter, on cross trainers the stride length.
Ask separately whether the price includes delivery, carrying up to your floor and assembly: for heavy equipment this is a noticeable sum. Check the warranty and whether service or spare parts are available in your city.
New or used
Used machines are often sold cheaper, especially ones bought with good intentions that ended up as a clothes rack. But on a used one, check how the motor runs, whether the belt is worn and whether there are cracks in the frame. Ask for a video of it running and ask about the mileage. For commercial use, new with a warranty is better.
How BlaBlaPrice works
You describe the machine you need once. Sellers reply in the chat with the price, lead time and carrying terms, and the system shows first the offer that is best value in substance. They can see where they stand among competitors, so they compete for your request. Contacts are hidden. Details are on the “How it works” page.
You can also look at athletics and fitness, and the request is created on the home page.
