Video doorbell for a house and flat: offers from sellers
A flat in an apartment building or an independent house
This is the main fork. In a flat there is usually a building entrance intercom already, and your handset or monitor has to work with it. So it matters to know the system at the entrance, such as its make, and to ask about compatibility before buying. In an independent house it is simpler: you put a call panel by the gate and a monitor inside, and you choose the system yourself.
On BlaBlaPrice you describe the place once, and sellers send offers with prices and terms. Your phone number is hidden, and it is free for the buyer.
Types of intercom
- Audio intercom - sound only, the simplest and cheapest.
- Video intercom - a monitor and a panel, you see the visitor, and there is often motion recording to a memory card.
- IP or Wi-Fi intercom - answer and open the door from a smartphone, handy when you are away from home.
- Kit with an electric lock - a call panel, a monitor and a lock for the gate or door.
What to check before ordering
The distance from the panel to the monitor: the longer the cable, the more carefully you have to choose its gauge and type. The number of monitors, for example in a house with several floors. The screen: 7 or 10 inches, night vision, the viewing angle of the camera. If the intercom must open a lock, find out the lock type (electromechanical or electromagnetic) and its power supply.
Some cheap kits are not built for heat and moisture, so for a panel by the gate ask about the temperature range and protection against rain. A lit call button and a rain hood over the panel are useful too.
What to put in your request
- Type of place - house, flat, office, gate.
- Type of intercom - audio, video, Wi-Fi.
- What is in the kit - number of monitors and panels, lock, cameras.
- Compatibility with the building's system or existing wiring.
- Features - screen size, recording, night vision, call to the phone.
- Installation and cable length.
- Brand, address, budget.
Example: “I need a Wi-Fi video intercom with a 10-inch screen for a flat in Manila, with the existing building intercom. I need only a monitor for the flat, without a call panel. With installation. Budget up to ₱8,800.”
How to compare offers
Check the kit: is the panel included, the power supply, the cable, the lock. Ask about the warranty, whether the device works without internet and whether an app subscription is needed. For Wi-Fi models, ask how the connection works away from home. If you need installation, ask for it to be included in the price or named separately.
