Bras: How to Find Your Size and Buy at a Good Price

It all starts with size and shape

A bra fits well only when the underbust measurement and the cup volume both match. The label 75B means 75 cm band size and a B cup. Do not guess: measure under the bust snugly and around the fullest part of the bust, and compare the difference with the brand's size chart. Different makers' charts vary, so your size may not be the same across brands.

Signs that the size is not yours: straps dig into your shoulders, the back rides up, your breasts spill out of the cup or the underwire presses.

Which style to choose

A push-up adds volume, a balconette opens the neckline, a wireless bralette is comfortable every day, and a minimiser visually reduces the bust. A sports bra is for workouts, and a nursing bra has special clasps. Wireless bras are softer but support a larger bust less. For open-neck clothes, look for a style with removable or clear straps.

The material matters too: cotton breathes, microfibre and seamless styles are invisible under a T-shirt, and lace is beautiful but less practical every day.

What to put in your request

  • size — band and cup (for example 75B) or a letter size;
  • style — push-up, balconette, bralette, sports, nursing, strapless;
  • underwires — with or without;
  • material — cotton, lace, microfibre, seamless;
  • colour — black, skin tone, other;
  • brand, if you already know yours;
  • quantity — one or several, the discount depends on it;
  • budget, if you want to name one.

Example: “I need a balconette bra without padding, size 75B, cotton or microfibre, skin tone, 2 pieces. Brand of the seller's choice, delivery to Woodlands. Budget up to $23.”

How to compare offers

Check that it is the same size and the same style: underwires, cup padding and the type of clasp affect the price. Ask about the exchange rules, because underwear, as a rule, cannot be returned once worn, and a size can be exchanged only by arrangement with the seller.

When buying several at once, ask for better terms: sellers are often more willing to lower the price for a set. Also pay attention to the article number or the brand's collection, because the same model can differ slightly between batches.

How it works on BlaBlaPrice

You describe the bra once, and shops and private sellers reply in the chat with photos, the price and delivery terms. BlaBlaPrice shows the best offer first, and the seller's reviews are next to each. Sellers see their place among the others, so they often improve their terms. Your phone number is hidden until you choose a seller. It is all described on the “How it works” page, and you can create a request here.

To go with it, look at knickers or lingerie sets.

Questions and answers

How do I find out my bra size?

Measure under the bust and around the fullest part of the bust and compare them with the brand's size chart. If you are unsure, give the measurements in your request.

Do I need underwires?

It is a matter of comfort: more support with underwires, softer without them. For a large bust, people often choose underwired.

Can I exchange a bra if the size does not fit?

It depends on the seller, so check the terms before buying. Underwear that has already been worn is usually not taken back.

Is it cheaper to buy several?

Often yes, sellers may offer a better price for a set. Give the quantity in your request.
