Uniforms for cafes, restaurants and hotels: order with your logo
A uniform is part of your place's image
A chef, a waiter and a housekeeper need different clothes, though the price per set is counted the same way. A chef needs a double-breasted jacket that can be unbuttoned fast, and an apron. A waiter needs a shirt or waistcoat that stays neat all shift. A housekeeper needs a comfortable suit with pockets.
The style of the place decides too. For a loft-style cafe, aprons in denim or heavy cotton fit, and for a restaurant with white tablecloths, a classic shirt and waistcoat. Choose a colour that shows stains less and keeps the logo readable.
Fabric that survives the shifts
Clothes for the kitchen and the floor are washed often and in hot water, so people take cotton-polyester: it shrinks and creases less. Pure cotton feels nicer but needs ironing. For the steam and heat of a kitchen, the jacket should be roomy and breathable, and an apron in dense fabric will protect from splashes. Some fabrics have a stain-repellent finish, so ask how many washes it survives.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — chef's jacket, apron, shirt, waistcoat, cap, housekeeper's suit;
- Roles — cooks, waiters, bartenders, front desk, service staff;
- Number of sets — for each role separately;
- Logo or embroidery — position, number of colours;
- Fabric — cotton, cotton-polyester, denim;
- Sizes — the range across all staff, women's and men's separately;
- Colour and style — to match the interior of the place;
- Deadline and city — the date you need them by and where to deliver;
- Budget — per set.
Example: “We are opening a cafe in Woodlands and need 15 sets: 6 loft-style aprons with logo embroidery and 9 black shirts for waiters. Cotton-polyester fabric, sizes S to XXL. Needed in 3 weeks, budget up to $18 per set.”
How to compare offers
Ask whether there is a fabric sample or a ready piece to see, and how the model is cut. Check whether the embroidery is in the price or charged separately. For made-to-measure work, agree the timing: it is better to have some buffer before the place opens. Also ask whether you can order identical sets later for new staff.
On BlaBlaPrice tailors and uniform sellers answer your request in the chat, see where they stand among the others and compete on terms. So you get ready offers without searching site after site. The best-value offer is shown first, with reviews beside it. More on the “How it works” page.
Common mistakes
People order everything in one size and miss the differences between staff. They choose a uniform that is too light-coloured for a kitchen where stains are unavoidable. They forget to keep spares for when new staff join.
For maintenance and warehouse staff look at work clothing, and for the kitchen also disposable clothing.
