Work clothing for a crew: suits, coveralls and jackets
Start with the working conditions
The same “work suit” will differ for a welder, a storekeeper and a food-plant worker. A welder needs flame-resistant fabric or canvas, a storekeeper tough twill with pockets, and a food worker light, light-coloured cotton that washes well.
Fabrics differ by weight in g/m². For summer, people take about 160-200, and for cooler weather and heavy work 240 and above. A cotton-polyester blend holds its shape longer, while pure cotton is more comfortable but wears out faster and shrinks in the wash.
For winter in cold regions or the hills, look for an insulated suit with a removable lining, so it works in between seasons too. For dirty work a dark or grey-blue colour is better, and for service and food work a lighter one. Ask separately whether the jacket has Velcro cuffs and reinforced knees and elbows, since that is where clothes wear out first.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — jacket with dungarees, coverall, gown, apron, or trousers or jacket separately;
- Type of work — construction, warehouse, welding, food production, cleaning, farming;
- Season — summer, mid-season, insulated winter;
- Fabric — twill, canvas, blend, flame-resistant, and its weight;
- Sizes and height — the range across the crew, for example chest 40-46, height 170-180 cm;
- Number of sets — for bulk the price per set is usually lower;
- Logo and colour — patch, print, embroidery, reflective strips;
- Budget — per set.
Example: “I need 25 sets of summer work suit (jacket and dungarees) for a warehouse: twill from 240 g/m², grey-blue, reflective strips, logo on the back. Sizes M to XXL. Delivery to Cebu City, budget up to ₱1,500 per set.”
How to compare offers
First compare the composition and weight of the fabric, then the fittings: zips, buttons, triple stitching at stress points. Ask whether logo application is in the price or charged separately, and what the minimum lot is. For made-to-measure work, ask how many days production takes.
BlaBlaPrice collects replies from makers and sellers, shows the best-value offer first, with seller reviews. They compete for your request because they can see where they stand among the others. Your phone number stays hidden until you choose a seller. See how it works on the “How it works” page.
Common mistakes
People buy work clothing with no room in the sizes: cotton shrinks in the wash, and you need to bend freely at work. They do not match the colour with the stock in the warehouse, so a repeat order comes in a different shade. They buy a cheap suit for hard conditions and replace it every month.
Match this clothing with work footwear and work gloves. For being seen on the road you will need high-visibility vests.
