Home Decor: How to Find Vases, Posters and Accessories at a Good Price
Start with the style and the space
Decor isn't bought “just because”: it has to fit the room. So before you write a request, photograph the wall or shelf you want to dress up and decide on a style: Scandinavian, industrial, boho, classic. Colour, material and even the size of things depend on it.
A rule that works almost every time: a few things of different heights look better than a pile of identical ones. A floor vase 80 cm tall needs a free corner, and wall panels and clocks need a clear wall without sockets.
What people search for most
- Vases, artificial flowers and plants: ceramic and glass look richer, but are fragile in delivery.
- Posters, paintings, frames: check the format, the mount and whether there is glass.
- Candles and candle holders: look at the wax and the burn time.
- Clocks, figurines, wall panels for an accent wall.
Ready-made or made to order
Many sellers make decor to order: posters from your photos, paintings to the size of your wall, lettering, panels. This costs more than mass-produced items and takes time, but it won't be repeated anywhere. If you want that, say so in your request, or you will get offers of ready-made goods only.
For a cafe, a shop window or an event, work out the quantity in advance: a bulk batch usually works out cheaper than buying piece by piece, and sellers are more willing to meet you halfway.
What to put in your request
- what exactly — vases, posters, a clock, candles, panels;
- style and palette — Scandinavian, industrial, beige tones;
- size — height, diameter or format;
- quantity — by piece or as a set;
- which room — living room, bedroom, cafe, office;
- material — ceramic, glass, metal, wood, fabric;
- ready-made or custom — with your own photos or sizes;
- delivery — city and method, for example courier;
- budget, if you want to name one.
Example: “I need 6 A3 posters in Scandinavian style, beige and grey tones, in black wooden frames with glass, for a living room. Courier delivery to Singapore. Budget up to $120.”
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
Instead of leafing through dozens of shops, you describe what you want on the main page of BlaBlaPrice and wait for offers. Decor sellers reply in a chat with photos, a price and delivery terms; you can see reviews of each one. The request is checked before it is shown, and the site will tell you which details are missing.
Sellers know where their offer ranks, so they often improve their terms. Your contacts stay hidden until you choose someone yourself. All the steps are described on the “How it works” page.
What to look at in the replies
Ask for a photo of the real item, not just a catalogue render: the colour on a screen often differs from the real one. Check how fragile items are packed and whether you can return the goods if they are damaged on the way.
If you are redoing a room completely, see the related sections: home textiles, window decor and lighting. For festivals there is a separate category of Christmas trees and decorations.
