Sports or dance trainer: how to find and choose one
First name the activity and goal clearly
“I want to do sports” is too broad. Weight loss, competition prep, rehab after an injury and a first wedding dance are different programmes and different trainers. The more specific the goal, the more accurate the offers.
If you have injuries or limits, be sure to say so in your request. It is best to discuss health questions with a doctor first, and the trainer will adjust the load.
One-to-one or group
- Personal training — a programme made for you, technique correction, faster visible progress. It costs more than group sessions.
- Group — cheaper and motivating, but each person gets less attention.
- Online — convenient with time, but it is harder for a beginner to get the technique right without being watched.
What changes the price
The cost depends on the trainer's experience and speciality, the place (their own gym, a sports club, or a visit to you), and the length and number of sessions in a package. A trainer visiting your home often costs more, and sometimes you pay for the gym separately. So say in your request where you would like to train.
For rehab or work with injuries look for a trainer with the right experience, and do not forget to agree the programme with your doctor.
How to search through BlaBlaPrice
You write one request: activity, age, level, goal, format, area. It is checked and you are told what is missing. Trainers and teachers reply in the chat: price per session or package, place, schedule, experience. They can see where their offer ranks, so they often improve their terms. Reviews are shown next to each one. Your phone number stays hidden until you choose a trainer. Read more on the “How it works” page.
What to put in your request
- Activity — fitness, swimming, yoga, Bharatanatyam, ballroom, other.
- Age of the learner.
- Level — beginner, amateur, competitive.
- Goal — lose weight, competitions, a wedding dance, rehab.
- Format — one-to-one or group, gym, pool, home or online.
- How often — for example, 3 times a week.
- Requirements for the trainer — experience with injuries, speciality.
- Area and budget per session.
Example: “Jaipur, Malviya Nagar. I am 42, a beginner, and want to lose weight and strengthen my back. I have occasional lower-back pain. I need personal training at a gym 3 times a week. Budget up to ₹800 per session.”
How to compare offers
- Ask what is included in the price: gym hire, membership, equipment.
- Check the trainer's experience and speciality for your goal.
- Ask for a trial session and see if you feel comfortable.
- Find out the terms for rescheduling and payment: per session or by package.
A common mistake is to take too intense a schedule at the start and quit after two weeks. It is better to do less, but regularly. Do not believe promises like “minus 10 kg in a month”: progress depends on many factors.
There are separate pages for narrower areas: martial arts and boxing coaches, music teachers, and others in the “Education and sports services” section.
