Clothes, footwear and accessories: how to find what you need at a good price
Don't scroll through hundreds of pages, describe what you need
In fashion the hard part is not finding something, it is finding exactly that: in the right size and colour, at a sensible price. An ordinary search gives thousands of similar items, and everyone knows the size-chart problem: an M in one brand is an S in another. So in your request it is important to describe clearly what you want, and to add an example photo if you have one.
The section you pick depends on the item. For everyday wardrobes there are women's and men's clothing, and for footwear women's and men's shoes. For special occasions there is the wedding category, and for presents gifts. There are also lingerie, headwear, watches, cosmetics, maternity wear, workwear and wholesale surplus stock.
What to put in your request
- What exactly — a dress, coat, sneakers, bag; for whom and for what occasion.
- Size — by which system: Indian, international (S, M, L), footwear size in centimetres.
- Colour and style — classic, sporty, casual; a reference photo if you have one.
- Material — cotton, linen, wool, leather or faux leather, fabric composition.
- Brand — a specific one, or “any, but good quality”.
- Season — summer, light, winter, with insulation.
- New or used — and whether second-hand or surplus stock is acceptable.
- Original — whether you need proof of authenticity.
- City, delivery and budget.
How to compare offers
You write a request on BlaBlaPrice, and sellers reply in the chat: what exactly they offer, the price, whether your size is available, photos, delivery terms. BlaBlaPrice compares the replies and shows the one with the best value first, with reviews of the seller next to each. Sellers see where they stand among the others, so they compete for your request.
Don't look only at the number. Ask whether your size is in stock, whether you can try it on or exchange it, and who pays for postage on a return. Ask for real photos of the item, not catalogue ones: that is perfectly normal. For expensive brands, ask about authenticity: bill, tags, origin.
What affects the price
- Brand and segment: mass market, premium or designer clothing.
- Material: natural fabrics and leather usually cost more than synthetics.
- Season: summer items in winter and the other way round are often cheaper.
- Condition: new with tags, used in good condition, or surplus stock.
- Tailoring: made-to-measure costs more than ready-made.
When it is cheaper to buy
Prices of clothes and footwear depend a lot on the season. Winter coats, boots and jackets get cheaper in spring, and summer dresses and sandals at the end of summer. If the item isn't urgent, plan the purchase for the off-season, and write in your request that you are ready to take last year's collection or surplus stock: sellers may be more willing to give way on leftovers.
Common mistakes
Buyers most often go wrong with size: they buy by habit, not by measurements. The advice is simple: measure your chest, waist, hips and foot length, and compare them with the seller's chart. The second mistake is buying without checking the fabric composition and care instructions, then finding out the item shrinks after the first wash. The third is not asking about exchange for wedding and evening wear, where a mistake costs a lot.
Contacts are hidden: only the seller you choose gets them. More about the process is on the “How it works” page.
