Anti-Cellulite and Lymphatic Drainage Massage: How to Choose a Therapist
Two massages, different tasks
Anti-cellulite massage works mainly on the layer under the skin and the tissues: it can be manual, cupping or honey massage, and is intense, sometimes leaving bruises. Lymphatic drainage is gentler, aimed at moving lymph and reducing swelling, and is done by hand or with a machine (pressotherapy, LPG). So first decide what you want: to firm up your contours, or to relieve swelling and heaviness in the legs.
Health and contraindications
There are conditions in which this massage can do harm: varicose veins, thrombosis, pregnancy, acute inflammation, cancer. After operations, such as liposuction, lymphatic drainage is usually prescribed by a doctor, and it is important that the therapist knows the timing and the surgeon's recommendations. If you have a diagnosis, mention it in your request and consult a doctor.
What affects the price
- size of the area: thighs and buttocks, or the whole body;
- length of the session: most often an hour, but 30 or 90 minutes exist;
- type of massage and equipment: machine methods cost more than manual;
- a course or a pass versus a single session;
- home visit: the therapist charges extra for travel.
How to compare offers
Check that the sessions are the same in length and area, and whether the price is for one session or for the whole course. Ask how many sessions are needed, what is recommended between them and whether the therapist has medical training or certificates.
On BlaBlaPrice you do not have to browse therapists' pages and write to each: you describe your request once, and massage therapists in your city reply in the chat with the price, free dates and terms. They see where they stand among the others, so they compete for your choice. Reviews are shown beside the offers. Your phone number stays hidden until you decide. More in How it works.

Wear comfortable underwear to the session and do not eat a heavy meal an hour before. After the course, drink plenty of water and ask the therapist what exercise and skincare suit you between sessions.
