Jobs in finance and law: how to find a lawyer, analyst or agent
Finance and law: trust matters more than speed
In these professions a mistake is expensive, so when hiring weigh not only experience but also responsibility and reputation. A lawyer works with contracts and disputes, a financial analyst with budgets and reports, a loan officer with bank or lender clients, an insurance agent with selling policies. These are different tasks, and each needs its own description.
On BlaBlaPrice you describe the vacancy once and candidates reply in the chat. For the employer it is free.
What the fields are
- Lawyer — corporate, contract, litigation, property or labour law; say whether court representation is needed.
- Financial analyst, economist — budgeting, financial models, reporting; state the software and the industry.
- Loan officer — dealing with clients, assessing applications, a sales target.
- Insurance agent — selling policies, client base, visits to clients; pay by commission matters.
What to put in the vacancy
- Position and tasks — which documents, reports or clients the person will handle.
- Relevant education and extra certificates, if needed.
- Experience — how many years and in which industry.
- Software and skills — Excel, Tally, BI tools, CRM, knowledge of regulations.
- Format — office, remote, client visits.
- Pay — fixed part, commission, bonuses; formal employment.
- Start and city, probation period.
Example: “Looking for a loan officer for a branch in Lucknow, 5/2, handling personal loan applications and advising clients. At least a year of experience, knowledge of a CRM. Pay ₹25,000 a month plus a percentage of loans disbursed. Start in November.”
Pay in sales: in loan and insurance roles a large part of income depends on commission. Say honestly how the bonus is calculated, what the target is and how quickly it is paid. Transparent terms filter out those who do not like such a scheme.
For a lawyer, state whether it is a permanent staff post or outsourced services: the schedule, responsibility and type of contract depend on it. If you are unsure about the paperwork, consult an accountant or a lawyer.
How to compare candidates
Candidates reply with offers in the chat: they tell you about experience, the start date and the pay they expect. The system shows the best offer by substance first, and reviews are visible next to each. Compare by specialisation: a property lawyer is not necessarily good at labour disputes. Ask the person to describe concrete cases without revealing confidential data, and ask an analyst how they built reports or budgets.
If the position involves access to money or sensitive data, discuss reference checks, a probation period and responsibility in the contract. Contacts are hidden: only the chosen candidate gets your phone or messenger. More on the “How it works” page.
Common employer mistakes
Describing the post in one word and not stating the volume. Not discussing who is responsible for mistakes. Not telling employment from a contract with a self-employed professional. For complex legal matters you need a specialist who works in that particular field, not a “lawyer in general”.
