How to buy a women's blouse or shirt well: offers from sellers
Fabric matters more than the brand
A white cotton shirt with a little elastane holds its shape and irons easily, while silk and satin drape beautifully but don't like sweat and frequent washing. Linen creases, and that's normal, so it is chosen less often for an office where you need a crisp look. Viscose is comfortable in summer, but it can shrink after washing.
So in listings don't look at the word “silk” but at the fabric content: pure silk and silk with polyester are different things, and the price differs too.
A white blouse in thin fabric often shows through, so for the office take thicker cotton or double chiffon. Ask about the length too: a shirt tucked into trousers needs to be longer than one worn loose.
What to put in your request
- Style – classic shirt, oversized, chiffon blouse, with a bow, wrap.
- Sleeve – long, three-quarter, short or sleeveless.
- Fabric – silk, satin, cotton, chiffon, linen, viscose.
- Size – S/M/L or at least your bust measurement and sleeve length.
- Occasion – office, evening event, party, wedding, everyday.
- Colour or print – white, cream, striped, floral.
- Brand – if you have a favourite.
- Condition – new with tags or second-hand, and how worn.
- Budget and the city for delivery.
Example: “I'm looking for a new white classic shirt, cotton with elastane, long sleeves, size M, for the office. A brand like Massimo Dutti or similar level is preferred. Bengaluru, courier delivery with a trial and return option. Budget up to ₹2,500.”
How to compare offers
Shirts of the same size fit differently in different brands, so ask for measurements: shoulder width, bust, length of the item and of the sleeve. Check whether the seller accepts returns if the item doesn't fit, and who pays for sending it back.
For second-hand items ask about yellowed underarms, snags in the fabric and the condition of the cuffs and collar: that's where wear shows. For a new item, ask whether the tags are on and whether it is an original of the brand.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe what you need once instead of scrolling through dozens of shops: create a request, and sellers send offers in the chat with photos, price and delivery terms. They see which place their offer takes, and so they improve their terms. The site shows the offer that gives the best value first, and reviews of the seller are visible next to it. Your phone number stays hidden until you choose a seller. More details are in the “How it works” section.
A blouse often needs a bottom: look at skirts or trousers, and for the evening, dresses.
