What to look at
A garter should press slightly but not cut in: ask the seller to state the stretch and the width of the band. If it is too narrow it may leave a mark, and if it is too loose it slides down. In a garter belt, check the quality of the clips and suspenders, because cheap ones soon bend or come undone. Also ask whether they can be replaced if they break.
