Maternity and nursing jumpers and sweatshirts: hoodies, cardigans
A warm top that does not press on the bump
A jumper or sweatshirt for pregnancy should be more than “a big size”: people usually look for a longer back, a wide hem without a tight elastic and roomy sleeves. A tight cuff at the bottom of a jumper squeezes the bump, and a top that is too narrow at the shoulders soon becomes too small. A hoodie, a cardigan and a knitted jacket are the most common choices. In India they are useful in the cooler months, in north India and the hills, and in air-conditioned offices.
On BlaBlaPrice you write a request once, and sellers reply in the chat. You compare price, fabric and delivery in one place. It is free for the buyer, and your phone stays hidden.
What to put in your request

- material — cotton, acrylic, wool, three-thread fleece;
- colour, condition and budget.
Example: “I need a beige nursing hoodie with brushed fleece inside and side zips, cotton, size M, 5 months. Second-hand in good condition is fine. Delhi, budget up to ₹2,000.”
How nursing in a hoodie works
Nursing models have zips at the sides or under the bust that open without taking the top off. Check that the zip is strong, does not touch your skin and has a lining under it. Some models have a hidden flap under a fold, so they look like a normal top.
On materials: brushed cotton is warm and breathes, acrylic is lighter but gets static, and wool jumpers can itch. For home, soft jersey is better, and for going out, a thicker one that keeps its shape.
For the cooler season, take a warm jumper a size wider so that a brushed T-shirt fits under it. A cardigan without a fastening is handy, as it works at any stage.
New or second-hand
Sweatshirts are worn for a few months, so second-hand is justified. Ask for photos in good light: look at pilling on the tummy and under the arms, stretched cuffs and the state of the zips. Ask how many times it has been washed and whether it has lost its shape.
Compare the offers
Compare the fabric composition, whether it is brushed inside, the type of nursing access and the condition. BlaBlaPrice shows the best-value offer first, with seller reviews next to each one. Sellers can see where they stand among the others and may lower the price or ship faster.
