Wedding decor and supplies: buy, order made-to-measure or rent
What counts as wedding supplies
Everyone means something different by “decor”: some people mean toasting glasses and a box for gift envelopes, others an arch for the ceremony and table decor. So first make a short list and split it into three parts: what you will buy, what you will have made to order, and what is easier to rent.
Small items are glasses, a ring cushion, a guest book, a gift box, candles. Table decor is guest name cards, candle holders, menu stands. Big elements such as an arch, a photo backdrop or large letters are often better rented for a day.
Buy, order custom or rent
Ready-made things are collected from stock and quickly. Made-to-order items (engraving, names and date, handmade work) take weeks, so allow extra time. Renting an arch or large decor is cheaper than buying if you only need them once. But rentals come with a deposit and conditions about damage.
For personalisation, give the exact text: names, date, spelling. A mistake in engraving cannot be fixed, so ask the craftsperson for a mock-up to approve.
What to put in your request
- which items – glasses, box, arch, candle holders;
- quantity – for example, a set of 6 pieces or 12 name cards;
- style and palette – boho, minimalist, white and green;
- personalisation – names, date, logo, engraving;
- ready-made or made to order;
- buy or rent;
- wedding date and city;
- budget, if you want to state it.
Example: “I need two glasses engraved with names and the date, and a box for envelopes in boho style, white and green palette. Wedding on 20 November, Chennai, pick-up or delivery. Budget up to ₹10,000.”
How to compare offers
The same words can hide different things. Ask about the material (glass or plastic, wood or MDF), the size, the engraving method (laser, sandblasting) and the number of items in the set. For rentals, ask what is included: setup, delivery, dismantling, deposit.
Compare not just the sum but the full package including delivery and timing. One offer may look cheaper but come without packaging or without a mock-up.
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You write your request once, and sellers and craftspeople answer in the chat: what exactly they offer, the price or what it depends on, timing, photos of their work. BlaBlaPrice shows the offer that gives the best value first and has reviews of the seller. Sellers see their place among the others, so they often improve their terms. Contacts are opened only to the one you choose. You can read how it is set up in “How it works”, and create your request here.
For the couple's look you may need wedding suits and wedding dresses. See the rest in the “Wedding” section.
