How to buy a cable, charger or power bank and get the wattage right

First understand the ports and the power

Cables and chargers look like a simple purchase until a new cable won't charge your laptop or a power bank can't “pull” your tablet. The cause is almost always power and standard. USB-C can be a cheap 15 W cable or a full 100 W one with Power Delivery. The Lightning cable is needed only for older iPhones, and newer models are moving to USB-C. So always say which device it is for.

How to choose a power bank

Capacity in milliamp-hours (mAh) is quoted for the internal cells at 3.7 V, so the real charge delivered to your device is smaller, sometimes by a third. A 10,000 mAh bank is enough for a phone. For a laptop you need a model with an output of 45–65 W or more and PD support. If you fly, check the airline's limits on capacity. It is also worth asking how the power bank behaves during power cuts and whether it supports pass-through charging.

Chargers and cables

For fast charging, the adapter and the cable must support the same protocols: PD, QC. A GaN adapter is more compact and runs cooler than an ordinary one of the same power. Cable length affects resistance, so very long cheap cables charge more slowly. For video and data, the USB version and DisplayPort support matter. HDMI and USB adapters for monitors or laptops also come in different versions.

What to put in your request

  • what exactly: cable, charger, power bank, adapter;
  • ports: USB-C, Lightning, micro-USB, HDMI;
  • specs: capacity in mAh, power in watts, PD or QC, length;
  • which device: the model of your phone, laptop or tablet;
  • brand: Anker, Baseus, Ugreen or the manufacturer's original;
  • quantity;
  • warranty, delivery, budget.

Example: “I need a 20,000 mAh power bank with a 65 W output and PD to charge a MacBook Air M2 and a phone, preferably Anker or Baseus, with a warranty. Courier delivery to Pune, budget up to ₹5,000.”

How to compare offers

Look at the real specs, not the nice packaging. If an offer doesn't state the wattage, ask. Check whether the cable is included and how long it is. For unknown brands, ask about the warranty and whether the product is certified. The manufacturer's original usually costs more, but it is worth it for expensive devices.

How it works on BlaBlaPrice

One request on BlaBlaPrice is enough: it is checked, and sellers reply in the chat with a price, availability and terms. They see where their offer ranks and often improve their terms, so the site shows the best one first. It is free for the buyer, and your phone number stays hidden. Read more on the “How it works” page.

Questions and answers

Why doesn't fast charging work with my new cable?

The adapter and the cable must support the same protocol (PD or QC) and the power you need. Cheap cables are often limited in current.

Which power bank do I need for a laptop?

One that gives the power your laptop needs, usually 45 W or more, and supports Power Delivery. Mention your laptop model in the request.

Original or third-party brand?

For expensive devices, an original or a trusted brand is better. For simple jobs, similar accessories often have a better price.

Is it free for the buyer?

Yes. A seller pays a small fee only when you choose their offer.
