Christmas Tree and Decorations: How to Buy in Time and at a Good Price
Don't wait for December
The best trees and the most striking decorations are snapped up early, and in the last weeks before the festival delivery slows down. So create your request early and say straight away by which date everything must be at home or at the venue. That makes it easier to agree on dispatch and avoids buying what is left over.
Artificial tree: what to look at
The main thing is the type of needles.
- Moulded plastic branches that copy real needles look the most realistic and cost more.
- PVC film needles are flat, but inexpensive and fluffy.
- Trees with a different needle structure are also made, and mixed ones combine several types.
- Snow-flocked trees and ones with built-in lights save time, but the lights may burn out.
Choose the height with your ceiling in mind: for a room 2.5 m high, a tree up to 2.1 m leaves space for the top. Check the diameter of the base too, since a wide tree takes up a lot of room.
Real tree
A cut tree is best bought closer to the festival, while a potted one (if you want to plant it later) needs care and a cool spot. Ask when it was cut and whether you can inspect the needles: fresh ones don't shed when you touch them.
What to put in your request
- what exactly — artificial or real tree, baubles, lights, wreaths, outdoor decorations;
- height — for example 2.1 m;
- type of needles — moulded branches, PVC, flocked;
- quantity — for example 100 baubles or several sets;
- style and colours — gold and white, classic red;
- home or business — shop window, office, mall;
- setting up — whether you need installation and turnkey decoration;
- deadline, city and budget.
Example: “I need a dense artificial tree, 2.1 m, with moulded branches, and 100 plastic baubles in gold and white. For a shop window in Mumbai, needed by 15 December. Budget up to ₹12,000.”
How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You describe what you need on the main page, and sellers of festive goods and decorators see your request. They reply with offers in a chat: what they offer, the price, delivery or installation. BlaBlaPrice compares the offers and shows the best-value one first, and seller reviews help you judge reliability.
Sellers see their place among the others and compete for the request, so they often improve their terms. You don't share your number with anyone until you choose a seller yourself. It is all explained in more detail on the “How it works” page.
For businesses and large venues
If you are decorating a shop, a restaurant or a public square, the power of the lights, protection from moisture (for outdoors) and whether you need turnkey decoration all matter. State them right away, because the price is worked out differently from an ordinary home tree. For a cosy home at festival time you may also need lighting and home decor.
