Buy fuel in bulk with delivery: offers from suppliers
A bulk order is not the same as filling up at a pump
When you are talking about thousands of litres or tonnes, the price depends on more than the number on the pump. What matters is where it comes from, what exactly is supplied, to which standard, on what payment terms and whether you get proper accounting documents. So you should compare the whole package, not just rupees per litre.
Types of fuel and what matters in each
- Diesel: in cold regions, ask about winter-grade diesel, which does not thicken in the cold. Check this separately for winter deliveries.
- Petrol: different grades, different producers, sometimes different additives.
- LPG (propane-butane): sold by litres or kilograms, so clarify the unit.
- Furnace oil, fuel oil, kerosene: used for heating or equipment, and have their own specifications.
Ask separately about the emission standard, for example BS-VI, and about the producer. Ask for a quality certificate if the batch is large.
How to get offers on BlaBlaPrice
You create a request and describe what exactly you need, how much, where to deliver and when. You can add one photo, for example of a document or the unloading point. The request is checked before it is shown, and you are told what the suppliers still need.
Suppliers reply in the chat: the price per litre or tonne or what it depends on, the way of delivery, payment. They can see where their offer ranks and can improve their terms. The offer with the best overall terms is shown first, with reviews of the seller next to it. Only the chosen supplier gets your contacts. More on the “How it works” page.
What to put in your request
- Type of fuel — diesel, petrol, LPG, furnace oil.
- Quantity — in litres or tonnes, for example 5,000 l.
- Standard — BS-VI, winter or summer grade, preferred producer.
- Delivery — by tanker to the site or collection from the depot.
- City or district — and whether a large tanker can get in.
- Regularity — one-off or, for example, 10 tonnes a month.
- Documents and payment — bank transfer with a GST invoice, delivery notes, a contract.
- Price, if you already know an acceptable one.
Example: “I need 5,000 litres of BS-VI diesel, delivered by tanker to our site near Ludhiana next week. Payment by bank transfer against a GST invoice, and I need a contract and delivery notes.”
How to compare replies
Ask whether the price includes GST and delivery. Find out how the quantity is determined: by litres at the loading temperature or by mass, because the volume of fuel changes with temperature. For large batches this is significant, so agree on the method of measurement.
Find out the payment terms: advance, part payment or payment after unloading. It is better to check new suppliers through reviews and ask for documents on the source of the fuel. If a price is noticeably below the market, be cautious: the product may be poor quality or adulterated.
Common mistakes
Choosing only by the price per litre and forgetting delivery or GST. Not stating the seasonal grade. Not agreeing on the method of measurement. Not checking the documents for the batch.
