Jewellery boxes: organisers, caskets and gift options
First count what you will store
A box should suit your collection. A compact casket is enough for a few earrings, but chains, rings and bracelets in one box without compartments will tangle. So count how many rings, pairs of earrings and chains you have, and whether there are watches. Choose a box with dividers: foam rolls for rings, hooks for chains, drawers for earrings.
A travel case differs from a box for home: it is small, with soft lining and a strong clasp so that your jewellery doesn't knock around in a suitcase.
Material and interior
Wood looks solid and leaves room for engraving. Faux leather and velvet are soft and don't scratch metal. Metal and glass look elegant but need care. Pay attention to the lining: velvet or felt protects jewellery from scratches. For silver, anti-tarnish strips slow down darkening. A mirror in the lid is handy, and a lock protects against children and accidental opening.
Think about the place too: in a bathroom, humidity harms metal and unfinished wood, so keep the box in a bedroom. For men there are watch boxes with cushions and separate compartments for cufflinks.
What to put in your request
- Type — casket, organiser with drawers, stand, musical, travel case.
- Size — what it should hold, for example 20 rings and 10 chains.
- Material — wood, faux leather, velvet, metal.
- Features — mirror, lock, watch compartment, music.
- Colour — white, black, natural wood.
- Gift — wrapping or engraving of a name.

Example: “I need a wooden organiser box with three drawers, a mirror and a lock, white, with a velvet lining, as a gift with the name Meera engraved. Jaipur, courier delivery. Budget up to ₹1,500.”
How searching through a request works
Boxes are sold by gift shops, handmade makers and private sellers, and the price depends on the piece and the finish. On BlaBlaPrice you don't leaf through catalogues; you describe once what you need. Sellers write in the chat: what exactly they offer, for how much, whether engraving is possible and when it will be ready. The platform shows the best by content first, and seller reviews are visible next to each. Every seller sees their place among others and can improve their terms.
For custom engraving, give the text, the font in general terms and the date by which you need the gift. When you compare, check the size, material and interior, because boxes that look alike in photos differ in the quality of finish. Only the seller you choose sees your contacts. More details are on the “How it works” page.
What to put inside is suggested by costume jewellery and fine jewellery. And in the “Accessories” section you will find everything for your look.
