Seat Leon 2: facelift and body code
The second-generation Seat Leon has the factory code 1P, and the model was updated in 2009. After the facelift some exterior parts changed, and this can affect the trim and lights of the tailgate. So when you look for one, always give the year and say whether the car has the update. Otherwise you risk getting a tailgate that your lights or trim will not fit.
Seat often shares a platform with the Volkswagen Golf, Skoda Octavia and Audi A3, but its body panels are its own. So something that “fits from a Golf” may not fit a Leon.
The tailgate: what comes with it
A tailgate (the fifth door) can be bare, with glass and heating, with a wiper and its motor, with a handle, lock and camera, or with a spoiler. Before buying, decide what you need, and compare offers with the same contents. Glass heating, a wiper or a camera change the price a lot.
Ask for photos from all sides and from inside. Look at dents, rust underneath, the state of the rubber seals and the hinge mounting points.

How it works on BlaBlaPrice
You do not have to answer dozens of listings: you leave a request on BlaBlaPrice, and breakers with this body style reply in the chat. Each gives the price, the contents, photos and delivery. The platform shows the best-value offer first, and sellers compete with each other because they can see their place. Only the chosen seller sees your contacts. Read more on the “How it works” page.
